My action-first method

In my course, I don't open lessons with explanations. I open them with something to attempt, because your brain switches into English the moment you're asked to use it, not before. In the course, that's a question at the start of every lesson. You'll have a go, you'll get some of it wrong, and then the explanation actually has somewhere to land.
